Welcome to the Taunton Garden Club!

  • Our Garden Therapy Committe has been hard at work this year . Monthly ,our Committee goes into local Nursing homes , Senior housing and the Council on Aging to share the love of gardening by making fresh flower arrangements. What a wonderful way to bring joy and enrichment to our Seniors.

  • On April 24th, as part of our civic beautification program we worked with Nathan Nuby, DCR and the MA Urban Canopy program to plant 5 trees. 2 were for Arbor Day 2024 & 2025 and 3 were for memorials to 3 past Garden Club Presidents who have passed away in the last 2 years. All trees are native to New England.

  • Our April 3rd Meeting celebrated past (and present) Club presidents with a lecture/ workshop presented by Cathy Rooney of Designer of Greens Landscaping entitled ” How to clean and sharpen your garden tools”. It was very informative and fun. Now our tools are ready to tackle the jobs of garden cleanup and planting!

As always, new members and guest are welcome. Please contact us for details. Our next meeting is May 1st and will be our flower arranging workshop for our local Senior Citizens.

We want to thank the 50+ women and men who have stepped up to lead our organization over these past 91 years. It takes a special person willing to give this level of commitment. THANK YOU.

  • The Floribunda Rose is a hybrid rose that is densely packed with petals. Its Latin meaning is ” many flowering “. During our April meeting, our club which belongs to the Cranberry District of the Graden Club Federation of Massachusetts has awarded “The Floribunda Award of Appreciation” to our very own Jamie Kelly for her dedication to our organization and her ability to be ” many Flowering”. As our Horticulture’ Chairperson, she keeps us educated of ongoing environmental issues that affect our gardens. As the ‘Civic Beautification’ Chairperson she and her committee are maintaining and adding to Beauty of our City. On behalf of the club , she has taken on mentoring the THS garden club to help foster the next generation of Gardeners who will be environmentally aware. Congratulations Jamie and may you continue to use your Talents to be “many flowering” .

  • In efforts to recycle and conserve, the TCG partnered with WillsGarden of Hanover and sold ten 55 gallon rain barrels to our members.

  • On March 6th, 2025 , our program was designed by Elaine Kyranos , our club’s corresponding secretary. She challenged us tom make an arrangement inspired by our city and wow did our member’s creativity and love of Taunton shine through!!
